The scene opens in a busy bustling newspaper office. Everyone is hard at work. We find out that not only does Ella work at the newspaper, but her dad Geoff does as well. He’s the much put upon head printer who has been working phenomenal hours to save for his early retirement ‘that around the world trip won’t pay for itself, you know!’ Sadly he’s much in demand and he’ll only be able to retire when ‘Simon Says’. 

A young and nervous journalist, George, walks over sheepishly to get an update on today’s assignment. Simon clearly has no time for him and shoos him away. Simon’s got much more important things to focus on.

As the office quietens and Simon appears from his office, the spotlight comes us and the music starts….
