#16 – Stay, Let Me Hold You For a While
Geoff, as mentioned earlier, has been working all hours at the West End Echo to retire early. He and his wife have been planning big adventures together but Simon has been preventing him from finishing him as ‘he can’t do without him’. Recently Simon seems to be really very preoccupied and not completely on top of his usual controlling game and surprisingly has agreed to Geoff finishing. He returns from his retirement party full of hope but walks in from work to find his wife dying.
As he holds her in his arms, all the plans he thought they had for their future have been dashed. In fact, he doesn’t know what the future holds now. As he holds her in his arms he thinks of all the things that they had done and the things that they had seen together, along with all the things that he hasn’t had time to say to her.
